Reuters – seamlessly linking the global trading community
Reuters products and services support decision analysis, price discovery, order routing and execution at a wide range of venues. Reuters Order Routing and Reuters Indications of Interest are fully integrated with the market leading Reuters Station and Reuters 3000 Xtra desktop information products. These services, together with Reuters Triad, also take advantage of FIX to be open and accessible to all firms in the equities community.
Reuters Order Routing
Connect to 500 order origination firms and almost 200 brokers on the Reuters network via an integrated front-end application with the Reuters desktop or via a single FIX connection, eliminating the need for multiple point-to-point connections.
Outsourcing connectivity to the Reuters Order Routing network allows sell-side firms to focus on gaining the benefits of electronic trading with your customers, processing higher volumes at lower error rates without increasing overheads. Buy-side firms can route to any of the brokers on the network without installing any additional connectivity and with no billing repercussions – Reuters Order Routing is available free of charge to buy-side firms.
Reuters Indications of Interest
The twin goals of indicating and advertising are for brokers to tout their ability to execute trades in service to their customers and for buy-side firms to identify the best brokers for a particular trade or investment action. Reuters Indications of Interest meets those needs by providing access to a larger community of buy-side firms with a more comprehensive content and feature set at a lower price point.
Reuters Triad for North America
Triad is the industry’s leading IOI and AT management solution – use it to eliminate the need for more costly and less functional IOI and AT entry systems. It’s also one of the more widely used FIX engines, with a significant portion of daily electronic order flow routed through it. Triad offers FIX consolidation and routing, so that traders can send messages to any established FIX connection and so that inbound messages can be automatically routed to the appropriate desk or system. Using the Order Entry and Management functions, traders can enter orders, executions, and other FIX message and manually route them or make them available to the automated processes.
Reuters Order Management for Exchange Execution (ROMEX) in Europe
ROMEX is a sell-side trading and order management system that integrates with the Reuters desktop and community. The system allows receiving and sending FIX order flow via the Reuters network. Order flow can be managed by using the in-build rules management which supports a direct market access business model as well as the handling of large institutional care order flow. The trading functionality gives traders the tools to execute simple order flow and to perform advanced trading strategies on all major equity and derivative exchanges. The system supports trading of spreads, combinations, baskets, VWAP orders, dynamic hedging and offers additional order types not offered by the exchange. The market making functionality allows market makers to price derivative instruments and to respond to quote requests or enables them to quote on a continuous basis.
