1 September - Securities Trading Outlook 2010, Stockholm
This event is organised by Affärsvärlden and it will aim to explore the issues impacting the securities trading environment in Sweden. Stuart Adams, FPL EMEA Regional Director will be participating in this event on behalf of FPL presenting a session entitled ‘Emerging Trends in Electronic Trading’ and moderating a panel session. FPL will also manage an exhibition booth at this event.
2 September - Face2Face, Shanghai
Organised by the producers of the FIXGlobal magazine, the 2010 Face2Face China event will be held in Shanghai. This impartial information forum, which has been designed by the region's buy-and sell-side community will bring you the very latest information in electronic trading, FIX, technologies and the trading issues.
15 September - A-Team Insight Exchange, London
Organised by A-Team the Insight Exchange event will be held at The Brewery, Chiswell Street in London. This event will explore from a business perspective the rapidly changing financial markets landscape and the technology requirements needed to deliver today’s ultra high performance architectures. FPL will be conducting a presentation at this event focused on the standards-based messaging language for algorithmic trading strategies, the FIX algorithmic trading definition language (FIXatdl), participating in a panel session and also offering an exhibit booth where delegates can learn more about the FIX family of standards and the FPL organisation.
20 September - FPL African Briefing, Cape Town
The first in the series of 1 day briefings being held by FPL this year, the African Briefing will take place at the Table Bay Hotel, Cape Town. This event will highlight areas including the evolving exchange environment within Africa and how these new and emerging trends are impacting the local markets; it will provide delegates with an insight into the different algorithms available to market participants, the circumstances in which they can be used and the benefits they will deliver; it will also discuss the impact post 2010 of T+3 equity settlement; consider smart-order routing and high frequency trading options available to the African trader plus explore the many benefits that increased use of the FIX Protocol standards, including FIXatdl and the FAST Protocol to communicate static data and price information, could offer to these markets. Through a series of presentations and panel sessions this one day event, closing with networking drinks, will offer an invaluable and informative experience for local market participants.
23 September - FPL Singapore Briefing, Singapore
Organised by FPL, this half day event will discuss the latest developments in electronic trading for the South East Asian markets. This event will bring together the regional buy and sell-side traders and representatives from the exchanges to explore the opportunities in Asia Pacific in 2010 and how they will affect and shape the industry.
23 September - Screen Event, Amsterdam

06 October - FPL Japan Electronic Trading Conference
On October 6th FPL welcomes you to join industry leading experts at the FPL Japan Electronic Trading Conference. Building upon the tremendous success of the previous events held in 2006 and 2008, which each attracted more than 500 attendees from the Japanese trading community, including more than 100 buy-side representatives both years, the 2010 conference will address the key issues, challenges and opportunities impacting both the global and Japanese trading environment today.
07 October - FISD Local Meeting, Sydney
Organised by FISD, at this meeting FPL will provide a brief presentation focused on the many benefits that use of the FIX Protocol offers to the regulatory community.
26-27 October - TradeTech Russia, Moscow
Organised by WBR, TradeTech Russia will explore the evolution of electronic trading that is taking place in the Russian markets. FPL will be participating in this event conducting a presentation that explores the business benefits that firms can achieve through adoption of the protocol, including cost savings and efficiency gains. In addition, FPL will join a panel session and manage an exhibition stand where local participants can learn about the FIX family of standards, what FPL offers to the region and the benefits of membership.
21 October - FPL Americas Trading Conference, New York (Americas Conference Sponsorship Pack 2010 - FINAL.pdf, 736KB)
Organised by FIX Protocol Limited (FPL), the annual FPL Americas Trading Conference is back again this year and will address the trading issues impacting this region in 2010 and beyond. This unique conference experience will feature several new elements for this year including a new venue, a new 1 day format and a new delegate pricing model, including free passes allocated to all FPL member firms and the free passes for buy-side representatives, whilst still offering several opportunities throughout the day for networking with industry peers. 23 November - FPL Nordic Briefing, Stockholm
FPL is proud to announce its Nordic Briefing, to be held at the Berns Salonger Hotel in Stockholm later on this year. Through a range of interactive presentations and panel sessions this event will explore a range of business and technical topics aimed at providing the audience with a stronger understanding of recent trends emerging in electronic trading within the Nordics, and the challenges and developments taking place in these local markets. Additionally, delegates will also learn about the many benefits that increased use of the FIX Protocol family of standards brings to these markets, including the achievement of lower trading costs and efficiency gains. The agenda for this 1 day event is currently being formulated based on research being conducted with local market participants. 16-17 November - TradeTech Architecture, New York City
Organised by WBR, this event will seek to explore the strategies that can be employed by firms to achieve optimal use of technology within their business. FPL Global Steering Committee Co-Chair, Scott Atwell of American Century Investments will be participating in this event on behalf of FPL presenting a session focused on the new industry standards-based messaging language for algorithmic trading strategies, the FIX algorithmic trading definition language (FIXatdl).

14 December - FPL Middle East Briefing, Dubai
FPL are proud to announce its inaugural Middle East Briefing taking place in Dubai later on this year. 4 February - FPL Asia Pacific Regional Committee Quarterly Meeting (FPL Asia Pacific Quarterly Meeting - January 2010.pdf, 52KB)
Organised by FPL, the Asia Pacific Regional Committee will be hosting the first Quarterly Meeting of 2010 on February 4th. This meeting will offer networking opportunities for member firms, in addition to providing an update on FPL’s activities and aims, followed by a buffet dinner and a speech by Stephen Miller. Mr. Miller was the founder and Chief Executive Officer of two airlines in Hong Kong – Dragonair in 1985, an airline that is still operating successfully in the territory, and Oasis Hong Kong Airlines in 2005 that ceased operations in 2008.
