QuickFix Resend

I need help, if any can provide some useful hint.

I am using quickfix engine, I am sending logon request which need password.

The problem, what I am facing is that when authentication is failed, quickfix engine is resending the request repeatedly and after four repeated failures, which result into blocking of the ids on trading platform.

Can anybody help, how I may configure the quickfix engine, so that it may not resend the request, particularly for the logon message.
