Upgrade FIX 5.0 to SP1

Hi, I am currently using FIX 5.0. I have all my development, implementations and processes working with that specification. But I found out about FIX 5.0 SP1.
Should I upgrade my system to use the SP1?
If so, are there guidelines for doing so? Because I have noticed that there are additional xsd and securitystatus has been moved to some other xsd.
When is the upgrade recommended?
