Cameron Systems Responds to Market Demand for CameronFIX EMX Integrator

January 25, 2002 - Responding to increased market demand for a software solution that allows electronic trading systems a quick and inexpensive connection to the Electronic Message Exchange (EMX), leading vendor for FIX engines in electronic trading technology, Cameron Systems, today released the CameronFIX EMX Integrator — the quick connection solution to EMX.

Introduced to the UK mutual fund industry during 2000, EMX is a standard, based in the UK, and managed by EMX Co. Ltd., to communicate electronic trade negotiation, settlement and reconciliation for trading mutual funds electronically. The company chosen to build the EMX system, Fidelity MFT, selected CameronFIX software to build the EMX Hub and bring the advantages of electronic commerce and straight through processing to product providers, IFAs, stockbrokers and custodians. With the increase in adoption of EMX by traders, the costs of executing transactions have been reduced leading to greater efficiencies across the industry.

"The selection of CameronFIX for the EMX hub and EMX Co’s first-run-certification for the CameronFIX EMX Integrator is a solid endorsement for Cameron Systems’ electronic trading strategy, its credibility in the trading industry and strong development team. Cameron Systems is committed to supplying the electronic trading market with electronic trading software that will provide quick and robust solutions for the latest industry initiatives," said John Cameron, Founder and Chief Technology Officer for Cameron Systems.

"Communications software should be quick, reliable and trouble free," said Chris Burton, EMX Integrator Developer for Cameron Systems. "With that in mind, we have worked hard to develop the EMX Integrator, designed to interface with computer trading systems and the EMX service, that comes complete and ready for connection to EMX with no further configuration required."

"EMX Co is delighted to welcome Cameron Systems to the group of software suppliers offering proven solutions to the EMX market," says Richard Barrett, EMX Co’s Head of Operations. "It is especially pleasing that the CameronFIX EMX Integrator is aimed at small, medium and large companies alike, and is further evidence that the ability to take advantage of straight through processing is an option for all EMX participants regardless of size."

EMX is currently supported in the UK by more than 100 investment management firms, stockbrokers, IFAs and other institutions.

Cameron Systems recently signed a consultancy and support agreement with Evolution, the UK advanced technology firm for the investment banking sector, to provide support, implementation, and consulting services for CameronFIX in the UK and European markets.
